BlackArmor NAS 400 – Seagate introduced the NAS for home and small business
Seagate has developed a new network information storage (NAS), focused on the use of small businesses and home users. This novelty was called BlackArmor NAS 400.

The presented device has four compartments to install 3.5-inch hard disk drives connect SATA2, but comes with no drives. Install hard drive can be configured in arrays RAID 0/1/5/10 and JBOD. To connect to the new model is equipped with two gigabit network interfaces Ethernet. Also in the network information repository BlackArmor NAS 400 integrated four-port USB 2.0, designed for connecting additional external drives or network printers. The device has dimensions 207h160h269 mm, weight 4,8 kg (without hard drives).
Novelty has the support of the protocols Microsoft RALLY, NFS, Bonjour, CIFS, HTTP, FTP, HTTPS; also claim to support Active Directory and DLNA compatible devices. Storage can be used as a DLNA-, iTunes-, HTTP-and FTP-server. The delivery device includes software to organize data archiving (ten licenses for the platform Windows).
The new network storage media Seagate BlackArmor NAS 400 will go on sale at an estimated price of $ 400. For a fee users can order the hard drives to the device.
