NTT DoCoMo will open the store for mobile applications
NTT DoCoMo, Japan’s largest mobile phone operator, plans to open her own shop applications for mobile phones.

The service will operate much the same way as other online stores, including the famous Apple App Store. Developers will host their programs on a special Web site, and after necessary checks for compliance with established norms products will be marketed.
Shop owners will be able to use mobile devices with support for the service i-mode. NTT DoCoMo will distribute both paid and free applications. Developers of commercial products will pay the operator a percentage of revenues.
It is assumed that the appearance of the store will help NTT DoCoMo to keep churn to a competing operator Softbank, offering a communicator Apple iPhone. As of April this year, the number of subscribers of NTT DoCoMo more than 56 million people.
