Users spend 30 percent of the time on the web social networks and online games

Residents spend one third of the time on the internet pages of social networking and online games. Such statistics led analyst firm Nielsen, wrote All Things Digital.

In June 2010, Americans spent on the pages sotssetey 22.7 per cent of the total time that they “stayed” on the web (Facebook, Farmville). This compared to June 2009 this figure had grown by 6,5 percentage points or more than 40 percent. The second most popular pastime in the web were online games with an index of just over 10 percent.

For comparison, the statistics of e-mail use has declined almost 30 percent. At 19 and 15 percent decreased the time that Americans spend on the pages of Internet portals such as Yahoo! Or MSN, and time of use to exchange instant messages, respectively.

When you use the web from mobile devices the most popular continues to enjoy e-mail – the figure was more than 40 percent. In second place is seen by the popularity of Internet portals (11 percent). Sotsseti and blogs took third place with a rate 10.5 percent.

Note that all analysts have identified more than 80 types of user activity on the web. The ten most popular internet classes also include search, view videos and visit auction sites and advertisements.
