Galapagos – Sharp announced tablets
Japanese company Sharp has introduced the line of Tablet Galapagos. The line will include two models with a screen size of 5.5 and 10.8 inches, according to an official press release.
Both models Galapagos will work on a platform Google Android. Also, tablets will be equipped with WLAN Wi-Fi.
Screen Resolution “junior” model, which Sharp is positioning as a “mobile device”, will be 1024 by 600 pixels. “Senior” tablet will be a 1366 by 800 pixels. More specs will be submitted later.
Sharp expects the device will be primarily used as a device for reading electronic books. In December, the company will launch in the Japanese market eponymous Web service for access to electronic books and periodicals. When leaving Galapagos market library services will include 30,000 titles.
It clarifies CrunchGear, using tablets will also be available to web browsing, work with office documents, as well as applications. Do not specify whether the tablet support the work shop Android Market.
