According to Steve Jobs, who personally compere the show, the software platform will be implemented a lot of features and capabilities that are already familiar to owners of the iPhone and iPad. One of the major innovations will be an online app store Mac App Store. He will retain all the benefits and convenience of Service App Store for mobile devices: using a PC you can view directory of programs to acquire them, and in the future – update. Within 90 days of Mac App Store will be available to owners of computers running Mac OS X Snow Leopard.

Another feature of the Mac OS X Lion – launcher applications Launchpad. With its activation screen will appear with icons of installed programs, they can organize and form groups.

In Mac OS X Lion will be implemented full-screen mode applications. In this case, users can switch between the windows of running programs, or to move quickly if necessary to the normal view.

Another new feature – the system of Mission Control, allowing view all running applications, the icons of programs running in full screen mode, etc.
