Tools for instant messaging BlackBerry Messenger will work on other popular mobile platforms. RIM has officially release the Messenger application for devices based on Google Android OS and Apple iOS, wrote tehnoblog Boy Benius Report.

Internet publication refers to its own anonymous sources familiar with the plans of the company. The official Canadian RIM, which produces smartphones BlackBerry, does not comment on that information.

Now with the help of Messenger can exchange messages among themselves only the owners of BlackBerry. Furthermore, this function is one of the most popular smartphone, because it allows individuals to send instant messages from the user’s contact list.

At the moment we know neither the cost nor the release date of application for Android and Messenger iOS. However, sources of publications does not exclude that the Messenger will be available for free at the official store applications. In this case, the owners of devices based on mobile platforms, Google and Apple will be given an application with limited functionality.
