Sales of Grand Theft Auto 4 handled over 20 million copies
Grand Theft Auto 4 has sold in more than 20 million copies, raising the level of sales throughout the GTA series to 100 million. This was reported by game publisher Take-Two Interactive Software at a conference on technology, multimedia and telecommunications consulting firm Wedbush Securities.

Take2 company also presented data on other video game franchises, which it publishes. Selling racing series Midnight Club amounted to 18 million units, a series of Max Payne – 7000000, Bioshock – 8000000, Civilisation – 10 million, Mafia – 5 million copies. Take-Two noted that, according to Metacritic won first place in the video game publishers for 2010 (with an average score of 77.1 on products and a total of 298.2 points). Among the releases planned for the next two years are expected gaming community projects, such as Duke Nukem Forever, LA Noire, XCOM, Bioshock Infinite, as well as the possible announcement of a new part of the Grand Theft Auto.
Take-Two Interactive develops, publishes and distributes video games. The company was founded in 1993. After a series of mergers and acquisitions, it became includes 18 publishers and developers, including well-known studio Rockstar North, Rockstar San Diego, Irrational Games, 2K Marin, 2K Sports, 2K Czech. The company counts such game series as GTA, Bioshock, Mafia, 2K Sports, Max Payne, Red Dead Redemption. In 2008, the Corporation Electronic Arts tried to buy Take2 Interactive in an amount close to $ 2 billion, but later the deal never took place.
